PURPOSE: The CFSC test reimbursement fund was established to provide a sustainable reimbursement program to subsidize the reimbursement of test fees for member athletes.  By establishing this fund, a set budget is created each membership season with dedicated monies that directly benefit the skaters. The fund will have the ability to grow over time and offers the opportunity for members to fundraise for a specific cause.

GOVERANCE: A committee will be nominated by board members to oversee disbursement. This committee will meet no later than first part of October of each year to calculate the disbursement of monies and report to the board.

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Hold a General, Additional Family, Collegiate or First Year Membership with Carousel Sherwood FSC for the testing season as well as a renewal for the following season to qualify.  For example, to qualify for a reimbursement for the 2023/24 season you must renew your membership for the 2024/25 season.

  • Good standing member with CFSC.

  • Qualifying membership for the following season.

  • Application submitted before deadline of July 15, (current year)

  • Participation in fundraising efforts when available throughout the season.

  • A minimum 2 hours of volunteer time each membership year is required at any event hosted by CFSC, including Jr. Board activities

RESTRICTIONS:

  • This fund will only reimburse test fees. Admin fees and associated test costs will not be included in calculation of the reimbursement.

  • Competition protocols used for test credit are not eligible for reimbursement.

  • Collegiate members many only apply one test reimbursement per year within their 4-year membership.

  • Skaters must have not applied for any other test reimbursement program to qualify.

  • Only tests taken through Oregon Skating Council will qualify.

AWARDS

  • Pending availability of funds, this fund will pay out to skaters who have PASSED their U.S. Figure Skating tests between July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024 and actively contribute as a volunteer to CFSC activities.

  • A minimum of 50% for the first two tests submitted will be reimbursed. Additional submitted test will be reimbursed based on fund availability.

  • Distribution of funds will be presented at a club Fall function or mailed no later than November 15.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  • The completed application form, available on the website by June 15 of each qualifying year.

  • Completed Volunteer Hours form. A minimum 2 hours of volunteer time each membership year is required at any event hosted by CSFSC, including Jr. Board activities.

DEADLINE

  • Applications must be submitted by July 15, (Current Year). No late applications will be accepted! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
